WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN OUR SWASTIKA EDUCATION & AWARENESS CAMPAIGN?

CoHNA’s work is inspired by Hindu concepts of Dharma (righteousness/duty), Ekta (unity), Viveka (right understanding). We will uphold the “unity in diversity” that is a paramount feature of Hindu heritage. When we unite for a common cause, we can make an impact and ensure that our future generations live in a world that is more accepting and appreciative of their Hindu identity and values.

We must stand together to educate one another and support core Hindu values and teachings. Our sacred Swastika is commonly mistaken and wrongfully associated with the Hakenkreuz, a symbol used by a terrible dictator to wreak havoc on the Jewish, Roma and other communities. As Hindus and followers of Dharmic traditions, we sympathize and acknowledge this transgenerational trauma and the effects of such hatred even today.

At the same time, it is our duty to spread the right awareness about the Swastika, which has been a symbol of auspiciousness for thousands of years for Hindus, Buddhists and Jains and is used by these communities even today. In addition, other communities such as Native Americans, Ancient African traditions, etc. use similar symbols for their religious and cultural practices.

We invite you to partner with us on this mission to spread awareness about the true meaning of the Swastika – a symbol of purity and well-being – and educate everyone on the difference between the Swastika and the Hakenkreuz. We will keep you posted on the status of our campaign and work together to make this a success. Please fill out the form below to learn more.
