Coalition of Hindus of North America
May 6, 2025: Today, India launched Operation Sindoor, striking against centers of Islamist terror that have been spreading religious hate and killing innocents based on their faith. As a group that has been drawing attention to the rise of anti-Hindu hate in various parts of the world, CoHNA is glad to see such action against those responsible.
Just two weeks ago, on April 22, 2025, Islamist terrorists showed us how deep and ruthless that hatred can be, when they singled out and shot innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, purely because they were Hindu. 26 men were killed that day in front of their families–including young children.
In the days prior to the attack, the Army Chief of Pakistan spoke publicly about his country being founded on anti-Hindu hate and the killers came from a long line of Islamist terror groups, with decades old links to Pakistan. The same country that also harbored another terrorist who was the mastermind behind the 9-11 attacks — Osama bin Laden.
“Sindoor— or vermillion— is a symbol that many married Hindu women proudly wear in the parting of their hair. It stands for fortune, devotion, and fertility. This fortune was forcibly snatched away from the wives of those who were slaughtered by the terrorists. Today’s actions are one step in honoring those women and families who lost their loved ones to terror and hate.
The world must stand together in the fight against terrorism, and support India as it takes steps to eliminate groups who spread religious hatred and violence.
